Music and Art

We are home from Seattle where we stayed with our friends Chris and Jyl. Chris is like a brother to me and both of them are people I love dearly. This is their front room. The three guitars belong to Chris. He plays and Jyl sings. They perform at jazz clubs and wine bars around Seattle. They are really good. Chris a doctor by day. My son Jason, who is a blues guitarist, played one of the guitars and the three of them had several wonderful jam sessions together. What a treat for us.

The three paintings above are all by people C & J know. The middle one is mine. It is one of the first ones I did when I began to paint. The one on the right is by Chris's mother and the left one by another friend. All around their house C & J have wonderful art.

Steve, Arvin and I drove home this afternoon. Jason stayed and hung out with C & J until it was time for him to fly home to Brooklyn. They drove him to the airport and he took off around 10 pm tonight. It's going to be a long night for him.

Even though we were snowed in much of the time, we had a wonderful visit with our friends. We love seeing them and sharing Jason with them whenever he is here.
