Broken Heart
This soft-sided heart was one of many decorating the "Jamba Juice" shop today when Mr. Fun & I stopped in to get a double dose of Wheatgrass with a chaser of pomegranate juice. Mr. Fun saw the hearts first and brought one to where I was waiting for our order to be processed and he said, "Look, I have a broken heart!" I just looked at him and laughed or maybe I rolled my eyes. Of course, the store keeper is using these to lead-up to Valentine's Day.
We arrived home yesterday with me getting very sick with a sinus head cold. We actually stopped on our way home in the city of Ventura to find a Jamba Juice store so that we could get a dose of wheatgrass juice. We've been gone vacationing for 12 nights. We've probably eaten more junk/fast food than usual (I never eat french fries and had lots of them on vacation). We've been in several different climate zones. So when I started sneezing a lot several days ago, I should have realized what was happening. But I thought the sneezing was from being in such close proximity to the pups, but that wasn't the case. When I woke yestereday morning with a sore throat, I knew.
We left San Simeon yesterday morning with me feeling slightly crummy and I arrived home feeling thoroughly yucky. By the time I got my blip completed last night my headache was huge. When I saw the typos this morning, I cringed (and then fixed them).
So today my heart is not broken, but I think my sinuses are! Ha! I do, though, enjoy the season of hearts that is approaching as February 14th marches this direction.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Mine will include more wheatgrass juice and hopefully kicking this head cold quickly.
Good night from Southern California (with the possibility of rain tomorrow and again Monday).
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
P.S. It was fun to watch the pups get reacquainted with the house and their things when we arrived home last evening. After they checked their crates in the family room, they headed upstairs to find their little sleep houses.
P.P.S. Traveling with the three pups was delightful. Yes we had to load more things because of taking them and we had to learn a pattern for getting it all packed into the car, but overall we had so much fun with them. They would ride for hours and not complain. Several days they stayed contently in the car (in a shady spot) while we had lunch or window-shopped.
P.P.P.S. While "vacation" is over, I am thrilled that I do not report back to the classroom until February 14. So I'll vacation at home while cleaning closets, getting ready for the annual income tax ordeal, and numerous other projects that have been sitting on the shelf waiting. Actually, I'd just like to sit reading books and magazines and Blipfoto. :-)
