Chinese envoy
It's Friday so it has to be the V&A...or vice versa.
This is a big imposing Chinese sculpture from the Ming dynasty (1400-1600). There are two of them standing guard over the Chinese gallery. Originally they formed part of a Spirit Way that led to the tomb of a prince or someone really, really important.
I've only included the head but it's a full figure standing around 8' tall.
