The Strand

A quick, blowy walk with Rita along the strand and back this morning blew a few sleepy cobwebs away. On the pier afterwards an old man was throwing bread to the birds and I thought of a blip, but it didn't work out. Nor the one of the gulls; that left this mediocre one of the strand.

But I did see an otter. I thought it was a seal at first, but when it surfaced a second time I could see its tail clearly. Then it went under and I didn't see it again.

I caught a mouse in the trap in the bedroom . I'm waiting for all of its friends and relations now.

The yellow things in the blip are walking exercise machines which have just been installed along the walkway. Great idea if you want to walk and not get any where.
