Ice storm

Well, this is my blip of the day, my power is out and per the power company, it might be a day or two till its on again. We've had a doozy of a storm and it's currently still coming down hard. Ice is 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick on everything, and the tip top of my beautiful 15 or so foot birch is now about a foot from the ground. I sure hope it doesn't break. The junipers are a mess and the rhododendrons aren't fairing much better. The only good news is weather like this tends to make for more blooms on the peonies.

Wood stove cranked up and gas stovetop ready, I just wish those really loud sounds of cracking limbs would stop. Trees all over are really suffering this storm, they've closed several roads and highways.
