Stairs

This shot was taken in Ceske Budejovice in the Bohemia region of south Czech Republic. The town is a VERY photogenic urban landscape, and I could have posted a hundred pictures for today - but I will save these for my picasa albums .... I just loved the combination of the grand building and the run-down entrance,,, and the dusting of snow all around... I was here 21 years ago and it was very "cold war" - like a scene out of a Graham Greene film script - but today it is just sleepy and romantic, and slightly shambolic in a very independent sort of way.
