Gull-tastic

It would appear that my obsession with shooting gulls has followed me back from the UK! I'm sure my hubby will have something to say about this. After a morning of chores and shopping at the Dubai Mall, I tootled over to the beach armed with some snacks for the birds. I drew a small crowd of humans and birds which was interesting. I was also very nearly pooed on (by a bird, in case you were wondering). Hazard of the job I guess.

I finally took the plunge into nightime swimming last night. Daytime swimming is easy peasy when the sun shines, but it's actually a tad on the cool side in Dubai just now (by Dubai standards, I hassen to add) so I was scared that it might be a chill-fest to swim at night. I was so wrong. It's lovely. The whole pool to myself and it was warm. Kind of like a hooge hot-tub. I figured out that 57 lengths equals a mile, so I've upped my quota to equate a mile.
