Fire Sky
I do not intend for the majority of my blips to involve skies, sunsets or sunrises.
However, when the end of a brilliant day comes...
When the sky looks like this...
When I'm in such a nice part of the back of beyond...
It would be rude not to.
I was on my way home after another fine day on the side of a hill.
Once again saying prayers of thanks for where I live. When a pretty pink sky, with the odd ruffled cloud, turned into this.
Waves of colour. Peaks of red and troughs of grey blue.
Odd bits of single pink cloud.
The only thing I could think about was getting to the ford. As this sunset called for ripples of water.
It nearly ended in disaster as I rushed to get the camera out the boot. Dusk, low tree branches and human eyes don't go together. Ow!
I had no need to rush though, it lasted for at least 15- 20 minutes. I was almost home by the time the last sliver of red disappeared.
