Reticulation !

I go to a silver jewellry making class on a Monday evening.
This is the start of a silver brooch where I'm reticulating the silver sheet.
Reticulation is done by heating up the silver to the point it turns orange with the heat. You then pickle it to remove the oxidization.
This process is carried out 7 times in a row.
On the 7th time the silver melts and takes a natural texture and pattern.

This picture shows the silver being heated on it's 4th time.

Not very exiting I know. Hopefully I can take more pictures to show it's journey in becoming a brooch.
