On your feet
This statue stands on the banks of the Clyde and remembers the people who volunteered to fight fascism in Spain, especially those from Glasgow who died.
I think its intriguing. The connection to Spain isn't obvious at first but its a very affecting figure, especially standing as it does near the river.
The words read: "better to die on your feet than live for ever on your knees".
Sure this has been blipped before but thought I would add my effort.
