Daniel's Narrow Escape

Despite his familiarity with scriptures (and the fact that he was brought up the son of a preacher man), my husband grew up with a slight discrepancy in the details of the tale of Daniel in the lion's den. This plaque adorned his childhood bedroom wall, and in my husband's version of events, Daniel got away mostly unscathed but missing his arms. They were eaten off by the hungry lions. He looks at me suspiciously and reads the words in slight disbelief when I point out that no limbs were lost in the original story.
