Back out on the North Yorks Moors with a bunch of young people.
Today: dug holes for and planted approx 100 hawthorne cuttings and a large number of small holly bushes. These will eventually grow into a nice dense hedge along the edge of a field and provide food/shelter for wildlife.
We then dug two large holes and planted two oak trees (sapplings). Only 10 - 12 feet tall and very thin. It'd be nice to still be around in 100 years to see how they are doing.
