Parliamo Glasgow Italiano

Over lunch in the Merchant City I was talking to Nephew 1 about the redevelopment of that part of the city. He suggested that the kickstart had been the Italian Centre which he hadn't yet properly seen (He's the First Year Strathclyde Uni student).

It was great to pop in to the courtyard and be reminded of how delighted and charmed people were by it all those years ago; it said things about a possible future for the city centre; about eating out, about high fashion, about residential buildings restored to the very heart of the city . Would Glasgow have reinvented itself as 'Scotland with Style' so cleverly without the boost of this dazzling development?
