BOAT'S IN!

In the imaginary world of Port Appin the boat from Mull arrives whenever I choose. Here a connecting Bedford - Duple, Skye touring coach collects tourists for the next leg of their journey. On less glamorous duties the porter waits for the driver of the West Coast Motors Bedford OWB to open the boot for some cargo for the villages around Argyll. He's probably having a natter with the Skye Motors driver somewhere.

OK, OK! I know it's all pretend but it keeps me occupied and off the streets. Incidentally, the locations referred to are real and journeys realistic. The buses and lorries in all of the diorama pics are based on actual vehicles.

For the purists, the backdrop is of Dunbar - a long way from Port Appin. As the diorama is developed, pics of actual scenes will be used. I was up in Tarbert last September taking street scenes. Now when I can save up for all the 8 inks for my A3 printer work will start.
