It's sometimes reassuring to find someone else saying what you were thinking, if the someone else is a reputable and sensible person and so on. It's also slightly thwartative when it means that you then can't also say what it was you were thinking as it'll look like you've just copied them. Fortunately in this particular case there's some related stuff I can salvage for re-application but the general tenor of the moral of the story appears to be 'don't write too much two weeks before a deadline in case it turns out that you have to rewrite it or write something different anyway'.
As I managed to pop out for an evening-bicycle round the hill this evening I vaguely wondered if it was worth keeping a tally of the number of laps completed over the course of the year, possibly on a different worksheet of the workbook containing the miles-not-recorded-on-a-bicycle-computer-odometer and to which I could also then add the TCO calculation sheet for sparebike, which is a bit vague here and there but still only £157.50, though I've still to add the new bearings to the sheet, much as I still have to add the new bearings to the wheel. The problem with logging is whether to just log ascents of the main slope (when travelling in the correct direction) or to count laps, in which case there ought to be a distinction between copout laps (returning down the side of the crags) or slightly-more-effort laps (returning via Meadowfield Drive) and whether or not Abercorn Road was appended for a bit of extra cake-mitigation.
