Regret or Beauty
Standing high above, looking down on the map
She sees little figures running listlessly
No direction or motive it seems..
Look closer, the intentions are interchangeable
There lies a dark cave in misty shadows
She is venturing off to where no man follows
Seeing red, anxiety, fear, and spiderwebs
Spiderwebs making a bold statement
Reminding her of the quiet tick-tock
The arms of the clock
Spinning and racing and exploring
But the clock is a simple circle
No path to wander to, the path is always the same
Circle after circle, the arms go
The gears are turning, always a look-alike routine
The cave's dark energy renders no change
And the spiders are anxious to expand the range
When will there be sunshine?
She bravely explores (with the clock burned into her memory)
The ticking becomes a roar
Taking over the day
Tip toes around the cave, fearing an irreparable mistake
And wondering all the while,
How long will this take?
