Uke Happee
Well as expected my initial flurry of TWO blips paved the way for a week and a bit of nothing. If I'm honest I found it hard to find anything decent to photograph, or forgot, or couldn't be bothered uploading images to my laptop. I now have the iPhone app which means a vast decrease in quality of pictures, but hopefully an increase in the amount of entries.... We'll see.
So the first week of term went by in a blur. The class are absolutely loving The Wind Singer which makes me very happy as I love it too! We are all in mutual admiration for a wonderful story with great characters. Even better, I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! Huzzah. With the beginning of term comes the usual forward planning stresses but I am very fortunate to have an excellent stage partner (if you're reading this you're not *that* good so don't get a big head) who I love working and sharing ideas with. It makes the whole planning process a lot more fun and relaxed. Last night we even did some maths planning while making sushi. THAT'S teamwork. Hmmmm, the sushi looked pretty good, I should've photographed that.... Gurgh.
Tonight I was supposed to be going to the pictures with my wonderful David as we had freebie preview tickets from RBS but we were both floored and tired so decided against it. I would've just fallen asleep in the comfy chairs anyway. So I have stepped away from the work for the evening, ordered Dominos and watched some crappy telly to chill and unwind.
Oh and the photo, well my beautiful ukulele I purchased over the Christmas break. I worked so hard on perfecting a couple of tunes before school started and then it began to gather dust... Until the cats almost knocked it over a few times. Today, the lovely new tweed hard case arrived for it so I can sit it next to my bed and try to pick it up more often as the uke makes all songs sound like summer. Perhaps I'll have a wee play now.... Good night all. Uke then bed and sleep. Huzzah.
