Castel Béranger

There are lots of great art nouveau buildings in the 16th arrondissement. This apartment building (at 60, rue La Fontaine) was designed by Hector Guimard in 1897-98 when he was only 27 years old. I worked at home today but saw this when I went for a walk this afternoon, before picking Ch up at school.

Ch got her room assignment for the voyage découverte and is really happy to have her three closest friends as roomates. Th wrote 3 tests today (Economics, Math and Chem) and didn't leave school until 6:00pm as a result. We won't miss long school days like that next year.
