Raar!

It looks like she's pretending to be a lion, but she was just standing up as I took this.

Rebecca had another 8 hour sleep last night, from 6.30pm till 2.30am. Of course I went to bed at 11pm, so missed out on most of it and then didn't appreciate it when she was ready to get up at 5.30am. Oh well, better than 4am like the day before.

I managed to get Rebecca to have a long nap in her moses basket in our bedroom today. Usually she'll only have long naps in the car seat - after being out in the car.

And she's awake a lot more these days, smiling and chatting loads. There's not much better in life than seeing your child's face light up the minute the set eyes on you.

She's reaching out to things a lot now and getting close to grabbing them. It seems like she's very close to rolling right over too. She rolls back and forwards for ages and ends up miles from where I put her down. And she quite likes tummy time.

Elizabeth spent a lot of time today playing with her pennies and piggy bank. Who would have thought something like that could amuse a child for hours.

We also had music class and the breastfeeding cafe today. People keep commenting at the latter at how good Elizabeth is for entertaining herself. I put it down to taking her out to all these groups, sending her to stay with her grandparents and her going to the childminder. She's always been independent and not at all clingy.
