Pre-School Pick Up

I finished work in time to pick my daughter up from school today, I could very easily have nipped in the car meaning I had lots of time to come back and cook a lovely tea and clean...however, the sun was shining just warmly enough for me to decide to take advantage of the last fragments of daylight which I all too frequently miss during my work days in the winter.

This is my son with a mischevious grin just about to climb the bench to try and dislodge the brush he has spotted stuck in the fence.

We had a lovely walk back to Mums then snuggled by the open fire to warm ourselves up before heading home....it's pizza for tea, out of the freezer...but I'm glad I kicked my lazy bone into touch for some quality time with the children...It certainly beats slaving over a stove to prepare the perfect tea which, lets face it, probably won't be eaten by the cherubs anyway!
