Brown Eyed Niece

My #2 niece...my sweet brown eyed girl...thought her hubby and mum were with her from first thing in the morning... but it did not turn out that way - but the good thing is her dear friend T was with her. (Thank you Jesus for that) Then about 10 Hubby, Mum and I went...as we waited in the hall for the Dr to examine her - in came #1 niece and kids, then about 5 min. later in came her Mum and hubby.

We all invaded her room after the Dr evacuated...there she laid - beautiful pink cheeks and those big ol brown eyes. :) She looked beautiful. As niece #1 put up decorations the kids mad - her mum was fussing over her - the kids were making her smile...I settled in and was not going to leave her side for the day. Out came my embroidery. :)

A hour or so later her hubby's parents arrived with a beautiful flower for her. The kids made a run (with two grandmas) down to the hospital cafeteria for a doughnut and coffee cake. The snow danced outside her hospital window - it was peaceful to watch the winter wonderland.

We are so blessed by God that nothing happened to her. We found out that sometimes for no reason - the artery in your neck can rip. (most often it is caused by a accident - a chiropractor - a vigorous massage - but sometimes it can just happen) Brown Eyes rip in hers is 4 inches long. While the pain was first happening a week ago - and she thought that it was just a strained neck or something - she was in HIGH danger of stroking or dying. (my heart aches as I typed that last sentence -I can't fathom my life without her in it)

Now she is going on blood thinners for the next 6 months to a year...she will have cat scans at 3 months - 6 months and a year. This should heal on its own. Thank the Lord.

Today - this Auntie's heart is so full of thanks....Thank you Lord for her!
