Spalted wood

This is a log I found with spalted patterns
It results from a fungal decay.and can be
used to produce a decorative surface.
Mr lemmy does a spot of wood turning in
his spare time and likes to use this when
he can.I was out for lunch today and the
shop next door had an oblong mirror and
the wood had this beautiful pattern running
through it, the price wait for it £700 !!!!!!!!!
I'll have two then.. LOL
I will ask Mr Lemmy to make me one a hell
of a lot cheaper and handmade and Im sure
love and devotion will go into it.
Right that's enough of this soppy romantic
talk..I am NOT a romantic at all.
