The Ghost of Christmas Past

The original title was going to be "Why pay more?". On the way to the high lands yesterday we stopped off at a garden centre for a meringue and a coffee. The sale was on and everything Christmas was hugely discounted. Why don't we buy stuff now for Christmas. The decorations and crackers would be just as good in the Christmas to come.

So I bought a packet of biscuits, wrapped in the ghost of Christmas past. A couple of weeks ago it cost £4, and now was £2. This is quite a late blip, and at least partly I am making an excuse for a late night blip.

The further excuse is that I left the office latish, and it was very cold. I had parked the car under cover, so no problem with the frost. Outside it was already below freezing and the gritters were out. An evening to head towards the central heating.
