In reflective mood

Yesterday we lost our beloved collie Jess. Today would have been her birthday.

She was born in a barn on a remote Dartmoor farm, in a blizzard on the !st January 1997.

You can take a dog out of Dartmoor but you couldn't take Dartmoor our of the dog.
She was never so alive as when she was with us on a moorland hike and it is fitting that this is where she ended her life. In the near future we intend to take her ashes and scatter them on our favourite walk
