Very Red

I like our local postbox. Being set into the wall I expect it to be in use forevermore but there are times I worry that because it's wee it'll fall out of use. I try to use it as much as possible.

Today when I used it to post birthday cards to my nephews - soon to be 5 and 13 - I decided to have a bash a taking its picture. I was surprised just how red it looked set into the frozen wall on a day when the hard frost lasted from dawn to dusk. It almost jumps out from the stone.

I know V R stands for Victoria Regina but Very Red seemed more appropriate.
