I can see a Rainbow.

Lily has wanted to join Rainbows for as long as I can remember. She accepted it would be when she was 5. So she turned 5 and we pacified her with "after Christmas".

Boxing Day morning she asked what time she was going to Rainbows. So we told her that we had meant after the Christmas holidays. Guess what she asked first day back at school...

Finally she started tonight. We have done a daily countdown each morning (Is it Rainbows tonight? No, X more sleeps). She went in as if she owned the place. She bounced out full of it. Thank goodness she wasn't disappointed!
