It appears that HM The Queen wishes to push some money into my hand so that I can toddle off into quiet obscurity and stop bothering the traffic!

Thank you, Ma'am, I am humbly grateful. But I think I will stick around and cause a little more havoc while my brain seems to be still working. (This, of course, is a subjective view - and it's true that if I continue to work there will be at some point an independent review of continuing professional competence. I can hardly wait! (Who IS the Prime Minister? No, sadly I CAN remember!)
