Day Dreaming

A full day at the lovely old port city of La Rochelle. We arrived mid morning and had a late (second) berakfast and then explored the three defensive towers guarding the ancient harbour port. Its a lovely place. Helped in no small measure by the sun shining.

After a picnic lunch, we wandered down to the beach, where I caught this young lady looking wistfully out to sea, across the madding crowds of sun worshipers! The view over to the yacht marina and out to sea with all the little boats was sublime.

Lots of other people watching shots today too.

This evening we went to the La Rochelle Aquarium - what a great place. We saw sharks and swordfish and jellyfish and all sorts of other sea creatures. I think this remarkable 'centurian' fish that looks just like the Oood was my favourite!

We had dinner out tonight too. Neither of us want to go home tomorrow...
