Underbridge Overwhelmed

Most of my road blips so far have been on top so I thought id show some of the beauty which can be found underneath the roads. This decaying 1965 motorway underbridge is right next to M1 Junction 21a in Leicestershire. It once carried a road, but it is now simply a footpath and cycle way after the A46 Western Bypass opened in 1995. We used to drive underneath it all the time and it probably help introduce me to the stark rugged utilitarian beauty of concrete. More of my road images can be seen here
