Wyoming License Plate 1950

Kathy and I had the great good fortune to live for 14 years in Wyoming.

Many years ago while poking around in some old abandoned buildings I noticed part of an old automobile license plate that was jammed into the side of a falling down shed.

Closer examination of the dirt encrusted plate revealed it was minted in my birth year.

The old style long rectangle with "Cowboy Joe" on a bronco is very appealing.

A close look reveals a "JM" brand scratched onto the rump of the bronco.

I wonder about this "JM" brand. Something to contemplate.

It may be a simple stamped sheet of steel, but it is a treasure to me.
