Wooden post

Travelling towards Dunkeld on the A822 there is a sign directing you to Rumbling Bridge. This is a small one span bridge over a deep cleft in the rock. The River Braan gushes and tumbles its way below, through the narrow gorge as you stand on the bridge and gaze at the force and the beauty of nature at work. The bridge does seem to rumble!

At the turn off to Rumbling Bridge, on the corner, there is a "Georgius Rex" post box fixed to a short wooden post, complete with red metal cap. It is quite a surprise to find it here as there are few properties in this area. I wonder how full it is when postie comes along to empty it!
