A Machine for Living In

Cold today. We walked and scooted to the supermarket via the park, and on the way back treated ourselves to a warm cafe. He walked in ahead of me, took a seat, turned and called to me as I unhooked my rucksack from my shoulders in the doorway, 'Apple juice and caramel shortbread when you're ready!'
