Winter's arrived

I've chosen this photo to appear as my blip today because it shows the white of the overnight frost. It hasn't got much above freezing anywhere today and much of the frost is still in the ground. I took this photo from the corner of Wortley churchyard when I went to collect the paper this morning. I also took others in the woodland at the top of our hill. I've been intrigued by the effects that ildikoneer achieves in her woodland images - so I've been playing. I think she uses HDR software, which I don't possess.

We met up with my mum, dad and brother at Cannon Hall for lunch. No photos from there (too cold), just two egg custards to indulge in with a cuppa when we got home.
