Spice pyramids

I went rushing off to find a different spot to see the sunrise this morning only to discover that my husbands cameras battery was flat and he has no spares - unlike me who have plenty - but mine don't fit his even though it's only one model up. Anyway had my blackberry and took some pics with that just to keep me happy.

Then it was off to the souq with a fellow blipper - as I'd only been once on first arriving to the country. That doesn't count the twice that I took wrong roads and landed up in the middle of the souq which has incredibly tiny one way roads and it's a nightmare being lost in that maze. Enjoyed walking around it though and taking photos of all the local men at their stalls etc. These spice pyramids must take them a while to set up and shape each time. We watched them making a huge spice cake with layers and layers of different colour spices which is quite amazing. Then desert camel started getting the sneezes - I guess that's when they started the pepper layer, so we moved off, past the tobacco leaves and all the hubblies.

A great morning, I'll be returning shortly to get a hubbly for friend in UK as she says their flavoured tobacco is the best.

Night all, been a long day.
