Mathematical Bridge

I went to the river around 7.30 this morning (not my usual Sunday routine!) to see if I could get a sunrise picture, which seems to be a bit of a rite of passage here, but there wasn't much colour anywhere beyond a pleasant orange glow.

I wasn't very happy with this photo - the Mathematical Bridge over the boatslide at Iffley lock in Oxford - so although my fingers were chewed with cold I kept stopping on my way home to try other images. But none really worked.

I've tried cropping the cacophony of shapes in different ways to remove some of the noise but I think, finally, I like it better like this, almost as I took it.
