Day 9 - Twelve Below
It felt a bit nippy this morning so we waited until the sun was on the meadow before we set off on the skis. When we reached the langlauf hutte half an hour later we were informed that it was -12 C. A bit nippy indeed.
I finally solved the puzzle of the black / blue loipe. It appears that when they put the sign up, the snow was wet and slow, so it was judged 'easy'. Now it's fast and difficult but nobody has bothered to change the sign. Nice one.
This was the view from our balcony at 8.30 this morning, looking south -east to Maurach, about 4km away. We're planning to ski over there some time.
