The early shift

I was on early shift today with Ethan although to be fair it was a 6.30am start so could have been much worse. We went downstairs and he snuggled up on the sofa with me under a sleeping bag while we watched Cbeebies together.

It was his first gymnastics class of the year today. Although he did enjoy it he seemed more interested in just running "circuits" rather than playing on the equipment.

We then went over to East Calder to take some books back to the library. A few minutes before we got there, someone had been knocked down at the pedestrian crossing, so hubbie ended up stopping the traffic for ages to avoid big tailbacks. Ethan was very excited when the "nee naw" cars arrived!

After that, we drove over to Bathgate to pick up Eden. Foreveryoung has had some really bad nights with her recently and is shattered, so we'd offered to take her for the afternoon. She was a real star and no bother at all for us.

In the evening, I met my friend Missus B and we got the train into Edinburgh together to meet Mrs42 and some other West Lothian mummis for a post Christmas party night at the Mercure Hotel. It was great fun and I even got coaxed into dancing to a few 80's tracks!
