instead of ponies

today has been an expedition of discovery of wonder into the derbyshire peak district.

for the first time today i have experienced why it is called the "peak" district.

the day did get off to a bit of a uncomfortable start, my dslr has a recurring error message, that i thought i had cured. it meant in the field that i was unable to take all the shots i wanted to take.

upon returning from the expedition, research into the problem began and it would appear that the problem is related to the the battery.

i played with exposure and iphoto testing the camera's reliability.

the title refers to this shot being preferred to the only shot i got in the field of ponies.
