Silence please!

I went to see Oscar-tipped silent movie 'The Artist' this afternoon and absolutely loved it. It's thoroughly deserving of all the acclaim it's receiving and I laughed, got a little bit misty eyed and fell in love with the dog as everyone had assured me I would! Do see it if you get the chance.

I arrived at FACT early enough for a hot chocolate and some apple pie cake before the screening (Like apple pie? Like cake? Then why not combine them in one delicious slice of baked yumminess?!) and as I looked around at my dining companions, I reflected on how much of our entertainment is delivered silently (sometimes with accompanying musical soundtrack) whilst looking at a screen.
