Primitive Methodism
Not a particularly beautiful photo but I have thought about blipping this on a number of occasions. Positioned on New Road in Brentford it is the first mention I have ever found of The Primitive Methodists.
It turns out that they were a breakaway group form "The Methodists" who in this context were Wesleyans. In the early years of the 19th century The Primitives felt The Wesleyans were moving away from what Charles Wesley had originally proscribed. They started splitting away but by the end of the century it was decided they had more in common than not and re-merged.
Potted History Here
And I've back blipped the last couple of days.
