It's huge ears and big eyes give this visitor an early warning capability that Fylingdales would be proud of......!!

The slightest move or unusual sound and he was back under the sleeper in double quick time.

Bigger ears and eyes...........

He'll have to be on the ball to keep himself safe from the Sparrowhawk who's showed up every afternoon this week....... Mind you the pigeon population has taken a hit recently, there have been at least four piles of feathers and remains in different parts of the garden over the last couple of weeks.........

We did witness a hawk / falcon stripping a pigeon a couple of weeks ago, it was predominantly brown in colour so it wasn't the Common Kestrel or the SparrowHawk we've seen recently, but it was big.........!!
