outdoor learning...

Sienna wasn't up to school today - her cough was tickly, her arm was 'hurted', her head was sore and she was far too tired and grumpy. Fair enough.

So she came to work with me for a while as we talked through a tender proposal (sustainable travel concept ideas - anyone???) and then we went for a walk in the woods, through the Alphabet Trail and over the fells. Breathtakingly beautiful, framed within a long absent blue sky and enhanced by a frost on the ground.

There is nothing more wonderful than watching your child using the environment around them to practise their 'learnings'. On this bench Sienna spent time etching her name (only seen in large!) out of the frost with maybe a bit of help from monkey!

A lovely, lovely day.
