Shopping

I spent far too much of today dealing with overfull drip trays, responding to plaintive emails from colleagues who have too few/many students and staring at this sort of thing. (I've become fairly blase about my numerous overfull hboxes, although I've had a few alarming runaway sequences today). During daylight I only managed a brief foray to the Chinese supermarket.

Hence, when I realised I hadn't taken a photo today, I had to resort to emptying the shopping out of my rucksack and blipping that. The card is to send to my friend Li, to wish her a happy (Chinese) New Year. The charming young person at the till assured me that it only said 'good luck' apart from HNY ( I was concerned that I might have inadvertently chosen one that said 'HNY to my dear grandmother' or worse).

Hey, I just spotted a great big bud on that ginger root. I'm sorely tempted to plant it in a pot and see if it grows.
