Meerkat

Wonderful weather today, though the high contrast made photography difficult. I went to Dudley Zoo mainly to photograph the old chair lift, as I understand it is to be renovated - it isn't very photogenic, and is quite inaccessible, but at least I got some record shots. This was one of my other images - not long after I shot this Peter Suddock, the Chief Executive, turned up with a Central TV cameraman, and no less than 5 Meerkats posed for them as a group just here, without any prompting or incentives!
