Winter has arrived in Northumberland

Having been somewhat lucky thus far this winter, dodging any major snow falls and fairly moderate temperatures, today is the day that Mother Nature is going to remind us that we live in a northern climate during the winter.
A light snow is falling now, and it is -3 degrees...........it's going to be -20 degrees overnight tonight.... Time to drag out that down duvet!
