Between scenes
In the early 1960s there was a popular police drama called Z-Cars on TV. The first series, in 1962, was broadcast live which was supposed to add immediacy and pace. However, quite often there would be a gap between scenes where some character or other had to get changed or a scenery change took place. At these times the camera would focus on a vase of flowers on a table (on live tv) for quite a while before proceeding with the drama in another part of the set.
I have not yet managed to sort out the technical stuff I was doing yesterday, so here, in true Z-Cars fashion, is a vase of flowers on a table.
