Furry friends

Late night, or early morning. Molly, waiting patiently, Ted couldn't care less.

Some sad news about J this morning. He seems too young to have a degenerative disease.

Yesterday's contretemps was sorted and I had the dentist. My teeth are my Achilles heel and I hate that cleaning process.

It was a beautiful day, cold, crisp and sunny. I was to and fro, up and down Jawbone Walk 5 times today. Keeps me fit.

More music this evening, the SCO with L. Food first at the Pink Olive, full of the pre-theatre ballet set. What a place Edinburgh is - tonight you could have been at Nigel Kennedy and the Four Seasons at the Usher Hall, 'Sleeping Beauty' at the Festival Theatre or the SCO and Handel's Water Music at the Queen's Hall. The concert was excellent and Camilla Tilling, the soprano, amazing and so expressive. As was Emanuelle Haim the energetic female conductor - no baton. I loved the Rameau - never heard that before, sounded very modern, although it's 17th century.

An insensitive idiot left a 'Happy New Year' message on my phone - happy??, obviously forgotten what is about to happen. Now 'happy birthday' would have been better.

L and I came back and sat and talked. she approves of the changes, so do I and they are nearly finished after nearly 4 months, the home straight!
