Making waves
This boat was really making knots ...and waves...as it dashed back to dock before the night sky went from deep blue to black. He had just come in through the breakwater, which you can see to the right of the picture, and was headed toward the dock...going a little fast IMO, but he had the channel almost all to himself.
The air has been hot (nearly 90 degrees) and muggy all day. A low cloud cover eliminated any hope for a dramatic sunset blip, but I think this is a good substitute. I'll have to go back another night and try for the sunset.
In April I blipped this same lighthouse from a beach on the other side of the breakwall.
