6/31 from a low angle
Today has been a pyjama day. Started very suddenly when Ben all of a sudden realised he needed a wee. He wouldn't go by himself so as Charley appeared to be asleep I got up and went to help him. Left my glasses behind. That was a mistake. Ben wasn't happy with me just pulling his pyjama bottoms down so I plonked him onto the toilet seat as well - he still wasn't happy but I told him to point his willy down and get on with it.
I should have grabbed my glasses.
And my brain.
Y'see, last night putting him to bed I noticed he'd been scratching his bottom quite a lot so I put cream on, and to stop his pyjama bottoms sticking to the cream I'd put his underpants back on him.
And forgotten this bit entirely.
Mummy fail.
Oh well.
At least we have eaten proper food today instead of just junk!! Porridge, beans, cheese, ham, fishfingers (not all at once). And drunk apple juice. Mmmm.
Actually, we did make it out of the house as well! We only got dressed for that, and it was after our neighbour had popped in to say hello.
Poor lady. Ben dragged her upstairs to the cockpit of our spaceship (the whole house is our spaceship, it can fly to other people's houses too, how cool is that?) which is Ben's bedroom and proceeded to roar like a dinosaur.
So we went out to the shops with Ben on his bike and an exhausted Charley (who'd been awake and cooing through Sheila's visit) in the wrap and bought food for tea that we've not eaten because we had fishfinger sandwiches instead and on the way home I really wished I'd brought the camera as there was a sliver of colour in the sky as the sun was setting behind all the chimneytops, and beautiful reflections in upstairs windows. Wasn't that a long sentence? I just read it through and ran out of breath.
I had to grab the camera and go back outside to try and capture something of what I'd seen on the way home but I'm yet to see the results as again I'm writing the journal before getting the pictures off the camera. There are some close-ups of Charley on there too that I'm looking forward to seeing, one of which might do for today's challenge although the point of challenges is to get your creative juices flowing again isn't it? Which mine are starting to - the titles are being thought about but not in order. Instead I'm simply looking out for things to photograph just because. I've not done that in a long long time. I'm enjoying it :0) I will have to put some more up on flickr.
And now I have a beautiful sunset scene laid out on the floor in fabric, and am writing a journal instead of laying Charley down and finishing the scene while he's asleep....
This was the "from a high angle" pic I considered putting up for yesterday!
