A bit of Pie

Day off dawned disappointingly drizzly, so I did productive but basically dull household tasks instead, till mid-afternoon, I shook myself up grabbed my stick and kagoule and headed over to Conistone, a familiar walk and manageable if walking quickly in an hour. The walk takes you up a dry river bed through a narrow gorge (the Dib) and then past some limestone pavement and up to a rocky outcrop - Conistone Pie. Great views even in the mizzle and the gathering dusk. You can see down to the face of Kilnsey Crag, but I actually prefer this smaller version on the Pie, peering out across Wharfedale, and the only company I had the whole way! The picture is a bit hazy, I think the phone lense had got a bit smudged.
